What service does our company provide?
Keanetech LLC is a research-based company whose mission is to transition technologies developed at UIUC into commercialization. Keanetech has several postdoctoral researchers with significant expertise in:
- Low-energy ceramic powder synthesis
- Scalable, low-energy alternative ceramic forming methods
- Geopolymers and geopolymer composites
- Mine tailings revalorization
- Agricultural Supplements
01
Geopolymers
Keanetech has several innovations on high temperature-stable, scalable geopolymer composites capable of withstanding 1200°C; fire-resistant walls and coatings; corrosion-resistant coatings for rebars; thermally stable flight runway coatings; infrastructure repair and construction materials; geopolymer composites for underwater turbines for power generation; geopolymers for molten salt containment for thermal energy storage; sprayable geopolymer formulations for acid resistant underground pipes; porous geopolymer for water recycling and filtration to remove heavy metals. The self-assembled nano-particulate geopolymers can be converted to high-temperature carbides in nitrides at significantly lower energies than by conventional methods.
02
Ceramics
Keanetech has a background in low-energy synthesis of ceramic nanopowders based on its patented organic steric entrapment method ceramic powders can be used for turbine engine coatings; as transparent spinel windows, SOFC, Li-based batteries; bioceramics. Synthesize soft agglomerates of nanoparticles of any oxides of multicomponent at multiphase compositions. These can subsequently be converted to their corresponding carbides, nitrides, and bauxite hydrides.
03
Agricultural Supplements
Keanetech formulated a series of Gelizer solutions (Gelizer Seed Booster) to impregnate, stimulate, and protect different seed types. The formulated Gelizer for each seed type yields around %38 of overall crop improvement through plant growth uniformity, densification per unit of land, the spread of strong/high volume plant roots into the ground, and the plant’s higher greenness level over non-treated seeds.

Mine Tailing Revalorization
At Keanetech, we are currently carrying out a project that involves a process-based life cycle assessment (LCA) to explore various pathways for reprocessing mine tailings. Our goal is to produce construction and building materials, as well as different byproducts. Through our investigation, we aim to provide recommendations that will improve the environmental impact of reprocessing sulfidic mine tailings. This includes suggesting alternative chemicals with less impact and optimizing energy consumption.

Get to know us more
We are all very different. We were born in different cities, at different times, we aim to make the world a better place to live in, not just for humans but even for animals and plants. We have something that unites us all. It is our company. We are its heart. We are not just a team, we are a family.
Respect to environement
Being respectful of environments and communities goes hand in hand, as environmental problems impact people on a broad scale. Climate change, which is caused largely by the burning of fossil fuels, affects communities worldwide in diverse and often unpredictable ways. We are trying to introduce new materials to the market that could significantly decrease carbon dioxide emissions
