At Keanetech, our goal is to discover the most optimal solution for delivering sought-after materials that are both cost-effective and environmentally friendly. As materials scientists, we are fueled by a desire for innovation and originality. We firmly believe that there exists a more sustainable approach to utilizing natural resources that don’t negatively impact our planet.

What kind of company is our company?
Keanetech, LLC was founded in 2004 by its CEO and owner, Prof. Waltraud M. Kriven. The company specializes in platform technologies that utilize inorganic ceramic-based materials to create a variety of applications. This includes everything from low-energy ceramic powder syntheses to the design and fabrication of geopolymers and their composites for use in agricultural modifiers and seed boosters. Keanetech is a consulting firm that works to develop prototype materials that can be utilized as commercial technologies and products, transitioning basic scientific research carried out at UIUC into practical applications. The company has a 4,700-square-foot research and fabrication facility located at HOW Industrial Park in Champaign, as well as an acre of land adjacent to the laboratory available for future expansion. As an Affiliated member of Enterprise Works, which is the University’s startup incubator for new companies at UIUC, Keanetech has access to a wide range of research facilities on campus at a reasonable internal research rate fee.
